New Species 6

While a test subject at Mercile Industries, Wrath was a constant victim of sexual abuse, hooked up to horrible, degrading machines that forced the semen from his body. He may be free now, but the years of conditioning have taken their toll and Wrath fears he will never be able to be with a woman without physically hurting her. Because of all the abuse he suffered, Wrath decides to join a New Species task force designed to find other Species and grant them freedom. It's during one of his missions that he meets Lauren, and uncertain whether she is friend or foe, detains her. Sparks fly between the two and suddenly, all the things Wrath would deny himself are possible and it's taking everything he has not to take what Lauren is offering him. His feelings for her are beyond anything he's ever experienced and he cannot help but dream of more. Is it possible to break his conditioning and chance a future with Lauren, or will his desire for her end in disaster?

When Lauren agreed to a late night showing of a warehouse to a potential buyer, she never expected to be abducted by three New Species men, and she certainly never expected to have the major hots for one of her abductors. Wrath is kind, considerate and sexy as all get out and Lauren wants a taste, but Wrath is terrified of hurting her and Lauren is unable to convince him otherwise. Since she met him, Wrath has done nothing but protect and care for her, so why should sex with him be any different? Lauren wholeheartedly trusts him, but can she teach him to trust himself?

I'm here to tell you, Laurann Dohner's got game! I have to admit, I almost didn't read this series because of the similarity to another series I adore, but after hearing my friends constantly gush about how much they loved it, I decided to give it a try. Thank goodness I did, because I'm in love! The New Species storylines are great, the men are hot and the sex is hotter. When you add all the amusing dialogue, you've got yourself a sure winner.

Wrath just rocked my world. That man was positively delicious. He was also a great protector, compassionate and loyal to his cause and those he cared about. Lauren was my kind of girl. She knew what she wanted and she wasn't afraid to go for it. The chemistry between these two was off the charts and the sex was serious panty wetter material. Wrath was a fabulous addition to the New Species series and I'm certain readers will agree. I cannot wait to see what Dohner has in store for us next!
