Love Under Two Cowboys
Carrie Rhodes answered an ad looking for a change. Ending up in the small town of Lusty, Texas, she is happier than she has been in a long time. Her past still haunts her though, so when Chase and Brian Benedict make their interest known, she holds them at arm's length. Brian and Chase know that Carrie is meant to be theirs so they set out to convince her of that. When the monster from her past comes back to haunt her, will the town of Lusty, led by Brian and Chase be able to keep her safe?

When I am feeling out of sorts, nothing makes me feel better like a trip to Lusty, Texas. The rich world of unconditional love and support as written by Cara Covington never fails to draw me in and make me feel better. I want to live in Lusty, Texas where everyone treats you like family and if you have a problem, they all work together to solve it. Ms. Covington has a way of writing that immerses you in the book and makes you want to stay there. If you are looking for a place to start over, as the main character Carrie is, Lusty, Texas is the place to try. This book in the Lusty, Texas Collection shows us once again that even strangers can get a fresh start. Of course, a fresh start here also comes with two or three hot men to ease the way.

We get to know more about Brian and Chase and discover what led Carrie to Lusty, Texas in the first place. The more I read, the more I rooted for Brian, Chase and Carrie. We get a glimpse of what it is like to try to do what you want rather than what your family thinks you should do. Even in this almost perfect fictional town, things don't go smoothly. Carrie's past plays a big role in the storyline. I like the glimpses of what has happened, both good and bad, to make Carrie the woman she is today. Of course, no story would be complete without that element of danger that brings the town together to protect their own.

I also have to mention that this story is a crossover with the Divine Creek Ranch series. In this book, Carrie's sister, Chloe, lives and works in Divine. Also, a side character, Julian works in Lusty, but will be moving to Divine. Turns out Lusty, Texas is only a few hours away from Divine, Texas. Who knew? Ms. Rainier and Ms. Covington got together and decided that their fans deserved books that combined the two. When two of my favorite authors get together to intertwine their series, you know I am going to be on board. So I look forward to more crossovers from these two fabulous ladies.
