Constant Craving is a moving and enjoyable romantic thriller. The murder immediately immerses the reader into the drama of the main characters' situation. The authors have done an exceptional job crafting characters that display very human emotions and weaknesses. Jessie and Rhys are believable characters and readers will be moved at their struggle to accept and support each other. The love and respect they have for each other fills the pages, but at the same time readers are aware of the self-doubt plaguing each character. The emotional intensity between Jessie and Rhys is well written. The love scenes are masterfully used to enhance the depth of emotion developing between these two very strong people. The hero and heroine display a frustrating and sometimes humorous tendency to make mistakes. Yet, their humanity is one of the most endearing aspects of the story. The intrigue surrounding their pasts and the current murder creates a plot that moves quickly, but not so quickly as to lose the reader in the details. Readers will be spellbound by the action and mystery as Jessie and Rhys work to expose all the secrets that have been hidden and, hopefully find that their love emerges intact when everything has been resolved. Joyce and Jim Lavene have done an excellent job infusing the story with just the right mix of romance and suspense. 4 Angels!
