At times both humorous and serious, I found Photo Finish to be a wonderful introduction to the writing of Mardi Ballou. In my opinion the storyline is just right for a novella: not too complicated and certainly not too thin, just perfect. I immediately related to the characters and their situation. I particularly liked the major secondary character. I thought they were particularly fun, quirky and interesting and hope that Ms Ballou plans to tell their story too.
