Perfect For The Beach

Some Like It Hot - Lori Foster
For over a year Nora has declined all of Cary's attempts to date her. Cary is frustrated in more ways than one, but he doesn't want just any woman, he wants Nora. When she rebuffs him yet again, Cary has had enough. However, he doesn't even make it to his car before he's heading back to her with a new game plan. Cary never intended to eavesdrop on Nora's conversation with a co-worker, but what he overhears explains a great deal. Nora isn't one for casual relationships much less casual sex; she dreams of love, a family and a home for herself. Nora knows that being one of Cary's women wouldn't get her those things. Yes, she is attracted to him and yes, she even wants him, but she longs for her dream even more. Cary wants all of those things and he wants them with Nora, he just has to convince her of that.

Lori Foster always pens her books full of fun as well as hot! The banter back and forth between Cary and his friends is hilarious, as is the slip-ups both Cary and Nora make. Some Like It Hot is just a great, quick read.

One Wilde Weekend - Janelle Denison
Alex and Dana have been together for over a year. They're going away for the weekend to celebrate their first date; Alex is hoping they'll be celebrating a lot more than that before the weekend is over. Alex is ready for the next step; he's madly in love with Dana and wants to marry her. Dana's past has left her reluctant to share her thoughts and feelings with anyone, including Alex. She's even more reluctant to put her trust and faith in anyone but herself. Dana has always been the dominant one in their relationship, especially in the bedroom. Alex can deal with that because he understands her fears, only now he fully intends to push Dana past her comfort zone. He has to know that she feels as deeply for him, as he does for her. What Alex has planned for them as lovers, will test Dana's ability to trust Alex with not only her heart but her body as well. The question is, will Dana be able to trust Alex or does their relationship end here?

One Wilde Weekend is a compelling short story about commitment and the ability to trust the one you love. Janelle Denison masterfully portrays the fears and insecurities of any relationship combined with the need and desire to be with the one you love. I loved this story because the connection between the characters is so powerful; their love for each other that strong. Alex is going to the win the woman of his dreams, no matter what he has do to…now that's my kind of man. One Wilde Weekend is excellent!

Blue Crush - Erin McCarthy
Sara has one goal in mind when she set out for the beach in a next to nothing bikini, show the men of the world that she isn't always Serious Sara and she is ready for a red-hot affair. Sara never counted on a tropical storm, being carried out to sea and losing her top. This is Kyle's last day on the job as a lifeguard. He is going to EMT school; he is ready for the next phase in his life. Having never been the one-night stand type of guy, pulling a topless, beautiful woman out of the ocean tests his resolve.

Sara and Kyle attraction to one another is immediate. Ironically, it is Kyle who thinks they should get to know each other first, go out on a date before they give in to their obvious lust for each other. Sara wants no part of that. She knows that once they leave the beach, she'd be back to Serious Sara and Kyle will not want her like that. She has to do something to change his mind. Just what will Sara do to tempt him?

Blue Crush is refreshing in the fact that you have the hero saying 'let's get to know each other better'. I laughed out loud at Kyle's wavering between wanting Sara and wanting something more with Sara. Erin McCarthy writes a light-hearted, enjoyable story in Blue Crush. She's also creative with her sex scenes. Kyle and Sara are in a lifeguard office, no bed, no ambience; just the clothes on their backs, which isn't much and still the sex scenes are hot. Great story!

My Thief - MaryJanice Davidson
When he sees that the number to his room is 666, John begins to wonder if he should have skipped this conference. When he walks into the room and finds a redheaded woman standing there telling him to strip; he is certain he should have stayed home.

Robin is just doing what she has always done; she is playing the same game with her uncle that she has been playing for the past 10 years. To Robin's way of thinking, it isn't stealing if said property already belongs to you. Robin never intended to involve anyone else in her family game, but now that she has involved 'Studboy' just what is she going to do with him?

MaryJanice Davidson writes a comical story in My Thief. It's playful as well as pleasurable. John's life is straight-laced, Robin's life has been anything but; the coming together of these two is entertaining reading. For the first time in her life Robin has something and someone stable, albeit quick, it doesn't diminish the sentiment of her feelings. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.

Hot and Bothered - Kayla Perrin
Two years ago, his wife walked out on him; now she's back and she wants a divorce. Trey had no intensions of letting Jenna go a second time. He messed up badly when he first let her go; he didn't trust in what they had and he lost her. He isn't making that mistake again.

Jenna doesn't want to be here, she never intended to come back. However, she is getting older and she wants to move on with her life. If Trey wants a face-to-face conversation before he signs the divorce papers, she will indulge him. Jenna just isn't prepared for it to hurt so much.

Trey desperately hopes that he hasn't lost his wife. With the help of Jenna's friend, Trey plans an all out night of seduction. If she still wants a divorce after, if she can tell him he means nothing to her, he will indulge her. Trey wants one last chance to prove to her that he really does love her.

Hot and Bothered is a poignant short story of a love that wants to last. Kayla Perrin does a great job of setting the scene, creating the characters and delivering a story that readers are sure to enjoy. Trey and Jenna's one night of seduction heats up this story immensely. My only wish is that the book was longer. I really enjoy this story and look forward to others by Kayla Perrin.

Murphy's Law - Morgan Leigh
Kat quit her job because she is secretly in love with her boss and can no longer stand the desperation and guilt she sees in his eyes when he looks at her. Two years prior when she started her job, Sam's wife had just died in a car accident. As time passed and he healed, the looks that passed between them bordered on erotic. Yet just as soon as he caught her eye, he would look away looking dejected and full of remorse. Kat loves him enough to leave instead of cause him more pain.

Kat doesn't know why Sam has come after her; she only wishes that he hadn't. She couldn't play second fiddle to anyone, not even his dead wife. Kat can only wonder, why Sam has followed her, when it pained him so much to look at her.

Morgan Leigh's, Murphy's Law is a wonderful story! It's so sad and so sweet, all at the same time. Kat's sacrifices for Sam and Sam's misconceptions of Kat make this story even better. This story all that much better and Morgan Leigh brings it all about seemingly with ease. Murphy's Law is the second book in this series so. With great stories like this, I can't wait for Morgan Leigh's next book.
