The Pursuit of Marriage
Cassandra Effington wants a perfect man. Everyone tries to tell her that her standards are too high including Lord Reginald Berkley, but she is determined to find perfection. Even though she might find Reggie a bit attractive, she still feels that reforming a rake is not what she wants to do. Cassandra is a lady who is used to speaking her mind and doing what she wants including her hobby of refurbishing houses for some of the ton. This causes people to call her eccentric.
Lord Reginald Berkley cannot help but find Cassandra to be everything he wants in a woman. He has fallen in love many times in the past and always seemed to end up with a broken heart, but he feels Cassie is different. He looks at her as a challenge after she states that they would never suit. After all his reputation leads her to believe he is infamous.
They both decide to make a wager. Cassie can find him Miss Wonderful before Reggie will find her Lord Perfect. Of course, Reggie is determined to make her see that he is her perfect match. Can Reginald prove he is worthy of reform at the hands of Cassandra? Who will win the wager between the eccentric Miss Effington and infamous Lord Berkley? The answers to these questions can only be found in The Pursuit of Marriage by Victoria Alexander.
