Meltdown by Shannon McKenna: Jane Duvall was a headhunter, and headhunting came easy to good actors like Jane. Her assignment this time was to try and steal the GM from the Crown Royale Group for one of their clients. Going undercover as a reporter from a magazine, she sets up a meeting to have the GM show her around their hotels. To her surprise when she arrives at the meeting it is not the GM she meets with but the CEO, Michael MacNamara, instead. From the first moment they lay eyes on one another, the sparks start to fly. He invites Jane out on a date to finish what they started during their meeting. Jane decides to go but what happens far exceeds her imagination.
There is only one description that comes to mind when reading this short story, HOT! This steamy romance will leave readers having to take a cold shower. Shannon McKenna does an excellent job at describing the intimate details of every encounter of Mac and Jane. Mac is a man that most women dream of. He is bad with some very "good" sides. Shannon McKenna is definitely an author this reviewer will be reading again.
Exposed by Donna Kauffman Austin Morgan was on his way home by train. Although he had mixed feelings about going home when he meets a very attractive woman on the landing in the cold, home will become the furthest thing from his mind especially when their love of photography adds some flare to their sparks. Delilah Hudson cannot believe she has met this stranger on the train and before she even knows his name she winds up in his bed. Even though this is totally out of character for her, Santa could not have brought her a better present on Christmas even than Austin. The one night they spend on the train together is filled with passion, but will it be enough to make them both chance a possible future?
This reviewer will never look at a train the same again. Ms. Kauffman may very well boost ticket sales especially if the trains have men like Austin. The passion Austin and Delilah have is one reader's will love. Although their one night stand is totally out of character for Del, she cannot deny the way her body is made to quiver by him. Donna Kauffman definitely knows how to craft some sweltering, passionate intimate scenes between Delilah and Austin.
Pure Ginger by E.C. Sheedy Ginger Cameron has had rotten luck when it comes to men so even though she likes sex she has decided to revamp her image. Instead of dressing sexy she decides she needs to make herself look like a no-nonsense woman to help her ward off the sexy one night stand type of men she has been known to fall for. However, this plan backfires when she walks into the office of Cal Beaumann. He is everything she is trying to avoid sexy, hot and very arousing. She needs the job doing his advertising and PR for his new cinema. Cal Beaumann cannot believe he is attracted to a woman who does not know how to dress in the latest fashion. He also isn't sure her image will help promote his business, but her ideas are enough to make him at least give her a chance. He also wants to know what is underneath all the wool she wears and is determined to find out.
This story opens with a very funny scene showing just the type of person Ginger really is. She is very impulsive and not in the least bit afraid of change. Ginger is this reviewer's favorite character in this whole anthology. Ms. Sheedy does a wonderful job bringing us a woman who is full of spirit. She also brings us some very steamy scenes between Ginger and Cal. Readers will love watching the way Cal tries to peel off the layers and layers of clothing Ginger has decided protect her from men trying to do that exact thing.
Bad Boys Next Exit is a wonderful read. These authors give readers three extremely sizzling short stories. This reviewer was left wanting more stories just like these. Each story has its own special appeal to this reviewer. Meltdown was the best as far as steamy sexual encounters, Exposed leaves you wanting to embark on a train ride across country to find your "Austin" and Pure Ginger gives us Ginger who, in her own way, does what we all at one point in time do hide behind our clothing to protect our heart. If you are looking for a good anthology, you MUST read Bad Boys Next Exit.
