Erica Parkhurst's life had turned upside down and inside out in a matter of days. First her husband of six years told her he wanted out. Then the magazine company she worked for let her go. On her very first night in Spirit Lake things begin to happen that Erica cannot explain. At first she is a little afraid of the unsettling feeling she has that something is trying to get her help. Then she meets Joe Lakota and knows she has a reason for being in Spirit Lake. Soon things will begin to happen to Erica that she cannot explain but she knows she must help the spirit in need. Can Erica unravel the mystery of Spirit Lake?
Spirit Lake is a book with mystery, spirits and some extremely sexual scenes. There is also a side story about Grant Parkhurst, Erica's soon to be ex-husband, and his new girlfriend Sheila. They will travel up to Spirit Lake to find Erica, and their sexual exploits adds a definite since of eroticism to this book. Although Spirit Lake is a worthwhile read, this reviewer wishes there could have been more about Erica and Spirit Lake itself rather than on Grant and Sheila.
This book is fast paced and readers will want to know how the story ends. Fans of erotic paranormals will want to read Spirit Lake by Audra Cole. Fans of Ms. Cole's work will not be disappointed in Spirit Lake. Ms. Cole knows how to create some very vivid sex scenes.
