The Coming

There has only been one man that Larissa Parish has ever loved. That man was her grandfather who passed away. His last request was that his ashes be spread to where his best friends disappeared somewhere in the Caribbean years ago. However, the ocean had another thing, which was to sweep her overboard the yacht she used and stranded in a different world. One where many have disappeared for unexplained circumstances never coming back called the Bermuda Triangle. There she is on the island but also Air Force pilots, one in particular who reminds her of someone she has seen before. Determined to go back to the world she knows she tries everything she can to get out of that island. What she didn't need was Jack Harrington, questioning her every move and distracting her with his good looks. Time warps she never believed nor did she believe the stories about the Bermuda Triangle, well that was until she experienced it first hand.

For five years, he and his friends have been on that deserted island. One thing they know for sure is that when their watches stop and there's a calm to the air, something will be dropping down to their island. Jack never suspected though that it would be a woman who will be in their island. Especially a woman like Larissa Parish, one who resembles a person Jack used to know, well back in the 40's that is. He can't figure out what Larissa is doing in the island only that it has been a long time since he's been with a woman. Larissa is everything he has missed in his world but will do anything to make friends with her. Just when they think they're going to get out Larissa tells them something that will change their whole lives. What ever she says, Jack feels like it is the truth and not mumbo jumbo like his comrades think. Can Jack believe her?

The Coming, a tropical island where two souls are rekindled and where friends look out for each other. Larissa never believed that she would fall in love or find the right man. All the guys she has dated never compared to her grandfather, the one person who was like a father to her. When he died, it was like a piece of her heart, one that she thought would never be mended. When an ocean's wave sweeps her overboard, she thought she was lost. Having her worst fear come to life she never thought it would lead her to the man she has been looking for in her life. Jack Harrington and his comrades have been in paradise for five years. Well to them it has been five years, however when Larissa gets there it's more than what they thought. Seeing Larissa, Jack is struck by her beauty and her intelligence. He is everything she strayed from macho, gorgeous and old-fashioned. He has a way with words that sound old-fashioned but one thing she knows is that he is a great kisses.

The latest by Ms. Knight is one romance that proves that with love and trust anything can happen. She has created a woman who is not worried about finding true love. She's independent and knows that if she were to be married then it would happen one day. What she didn't count on was that her life would change one man's life extremely. Now as leading men go, Jack is different from every man. Knight has somehow created a man who is not only old-fashioned but also still stuck in the 1940's persona. He believes that a woman should be at home waiting for their men. However, with Larissa he thinks differently and can't figure out why she has such a strong hold on him. This reviewer has never read such a story that benefits every reader's reading style. Ms. Knight has created such loving characters in Larissa and Jack. The other characters in this story were also great wondering if they will have their own story. Great read and creative background to the newfound love they feel for each other.
