Perfect for the Beach
Lori Foster: Some Like it Hot
Nora Chilton knows that Cary Rupert wants her, has made that fact known several times but is determined to resist him. She is looking for permanence and his reputation says that he is only looking for a good time. Cary can't figure out why Nora is adamant about not getting involved with him until he overhears her explaining her reason to a co-worker. Now that he knows the reason behind her resistance, he knows what he has to do in order to get beyond the barriers she has erected between them. Lori Foster produces another great story with tons of emotion and secondary characters that you can't wait to see more of in future books.
Janelle Denison: One Wilde Weekend
Alex Wilde and Dana Reed are spending the weekend in a tropical paradise celebrating their one-year anniversary of their first date. If Alex has his way this won't be just a weekend get away but will be the beginning of the rest of their lives together. Before the weekend is over, he intends to break down every wall she has built between them and take them on a sensual journey that will forever change the dynamics of their relationship. Ms. Denison pens an erotic and powerful story of a couple that realizes that love is not always enough to make a relationship work. You must also have complete and total trust.
Erin McCarthy: Blue Crush
Dr. Sarah Davis is tired of being practical and smart; she wants to be sexy and sinful. Unfortunately, her plan to don a bikini and gain the attention of a sexy surfer is derailed thanks to an incoming hurricane and a lost bikini top. Kyle Vanderhoff is leaving the beach for the last time as head lifeguard before beginning his EMT training when he sees a woman struggling in the monstrous waves. His plan is to rescue her and get off the beach not to be stuck with her in a lifeguard tower for several hours with nothing to do and nothing but a wet tee shirt. Ms. McCarthy adds her trademark humor to a frightening situation and once again produces a one of a kind keeper.
Mary Janice Davidson: My Thief
Accountant John Crusher discovers a completely new meaning to "hospitality suite" while attending an accounting conference. He is pulled into his room and ravished by a sexy redheaded stranger who steals his keycard and attempts to exit his life as quickly as she entered it. John does not intend to let this thief escape . . . ever. Robin Filkins has never had to use a man to help her make her escape but using this particular man definitely has its advantages. My Thief is a fast paced, hilarious romp that had me laughing aloud from beginning to end. If you've never read Mary Janice Davidson before you are definitely in for a treat with this story.
Kayla Perrin: Hot and Bothered
When Trey Arnold sees his wife Jenna in the bar he knows it is now or never. After a two-year separation she finally sent her divorce papers which Trey has no intention of signing. He figures that he has one night to change her mind and remind her the reasons why they were together in the first place. Will Jenna give him a chance to plead his case or will he have to "play dirty" to get her to listen to him? This story is a wonderful combination of heat and sweetness, as they must decide if what they feel for each other is enough to make a marriage work between them.
Morgan Leigh: Murphy's Law
Kat Murphy has been in love with her boss Sam Parrish almost from the day that she went to work for him. She knows that Sam feels some kind of attraction for her but also that he is still grieving for his deceased wife and fears that he will never be able to love another. She decides that it's time to get on with her life and stop pining for him but he has other ideas. I did not just read this story, but I FELT it. Murphy's Law is a phenomenal story that brings every emotion into play and can say without a doubt that it will forever remain one of my all time favorites.
Perfect for the Beach, the title says it all. There are six stories that will match the heat of the summer and can be read in one sitting. When you are getting ready for that summer vacation and need a book for the car ride, plane trip or the poolside this is definitely the one to take. I am so glad that Brava came up with this idea and hope to see MANY more of these from them in the future.
