Carrie is the school's yearbook editor. She's sweet and popular. She has to have everything perfect. She's what everyone calls that 'goody- goody'.
Dillon is the 'bad boy' in school. He acts tough, but Carrie seems to think there's something about him that just doesn't fit. So how do the 'goody- goody' and the 'bad boy' become friends?
Carrie and Dillon don't exactly get off to a good start. Carrie needs Dillon's help with the yearbook and he helps. Something mysterious happens at school and the kids start to pick on him and Carrie takes up for him. They start spending more time with each other. Carrie realizes that the more time she spends with Dillon, the more she likes him. This guy, Dave, asks her out and on their date Dave does some things that Carrie doesn't approve of. She realizes that she would have rather gone on a date with Dillon. Carrie tells Dillon what Dave did and Dillon comforts her. Carrie finds out that Dillon likes her just like she likes him. However, something happens that might take Dillon away from Carrie. Carrie's friend, Tina, is involved somehow.
Tangled Hearts is a wonderful story. In this book you will learn how two people can go from hating each other to becoming more than friends. It sounds just like something that would happen in high school.Reviewed by: Molly
