This book is awesome! The second novel in the best-selling series, The Shadow, The Eyes of the Shadow is full of action, adventure and suspense. This well written tale is full of dynamic characters. The Shadow is a mysterious character of bravery and intelligence. He is an "avenger of crime and guardian of the innocent", and the only thing that his adversaries see are his blazing eyes under his slouching hat. Bruce is a young and innocent man that is trapped in a dangerous intrigue not of his own making. The perfect case for The Shadow. The author, Maxwell Grant, has penned a thoroughly entertaining book with wonderfully devious and dangerous villains.
The Eyes of the Shadow is a keep you on the edge of your seat page turner with fast-paced scenes that makes the reader feel like they are walking in Bruce's shoes. This reviewer couldn't stop reading and yet dreaded the next encounter with the ape-man and his cohorts. The twists and turns will keep the reader interested from start to finish as the reader is immediately drawn into the action. Mr. Grant has an enjoyable read that deserves this 5 angel rating. Highly recommended for mystery suspense lovers.
