The Secret of the Equestrian Park
Alison is working at Dawson's Stables during the summer. But lately strange things are happening in the area, putting riders and horses in danger.
Alison is eager to play detective once again. She has solved mysteries before and wants to know what is going on.
She meets Mr. Jeffries, a neighbor, who does not pay his bills, and his son Paul who is looking for investors to build a new equestrian park nearby. There is also Annie Harrelson who is always around the stable asking questions for her new book about horses.
With the help of her friends, Melissa and Mr. Dawson, Alison gets closer to finding out who is behind everything that is going on lately; but not until she puts herself in danger, does she know for sure.
This book is good entertainment for an afternoon or two for the young reader. The author seems to manage to put herself into a young person's shoes easily, because the story sounds just like it was written by a young person. The way Alison talks and the way she thinks, how she is doing her detective work, would be appealing and interesting to many readers.
