Behind Closed Doors

When he first starts watching Raine Cameron in her house, Seth Mackey thinks she is just another one of Victor Lazar's women. But he soon realizes that she is not at all like the others. He quickly becomes infatuated with her, which almost gets in the way of his investigation of Lazar. Seth is sure Lazar is responsible for his brother's death and wants revenge, not matter what it takes, even if it will cost his own life.

Then Seth and Raine meet and the sizzling tension between them turns into a hot passionate affair. They cannot seem to keep their hands off each other. But Raine has her own secrets and fears that have been haunting her since she was a little girl. Working for Victor Lazar may be her only chance to prove that he killed her father and get revenge.

Can Seth overcome his distrust and suspicion that Raine is setting him up for Lazar or is he going to lose her forever?

The story is interesting, how the characters meet, and how they have certain problems to work out from their past. Can they trust each other, do they fall in love - this keeps the tension going. They also have lots of sex, which adds plenty of spice to this fantasy. Another interesting aspect of the story is that the evil character acts more human at the end. All of the sudden he seems to have some friendly feelings towards one of his employees and his only relative, which seems strange after a lifetime of doing mostly bad things. But maybe some people can change for the better. This is a good book!
