Mac Freeman is like any man caught up in the rat race of life. There is always work in obituary writing, but for Mac it is suffocating. The grind of writing day in and day out for the Chicago Central left Mac seeking the freedom of writing stories of travel and leisure, instead of the smells of cadavers. Freedom comes one day, when his boss, Dangerfield handed him an assignment that Mac will never forget; a chance to dive into the liquid dream of writers and travel paradise, a chance to write a real story. There is a story he has to write, but this story is unlike any other story, it is an urban legend.
Corazon Bolero flies the friendly skies of her island. She has been working with the airlines, all the while searching. Cora has to find a replacement for the island's protector. She has a mission that started 5 years previous. She wants to save her island to make her aunt proud. She is determined. She loathes the pilot Juanito for all of his daily advances, but she is on a mission. She does not notice him right away, but the clicking of his camera when the plane started to land, sparks her curiosity. Is this the man? After all Mac fits the description better than anyone else.
After Mac meets the beautiful and busty Cora, the flight attendant on his flight to Tradewind Island, that is all Mac can think of. He wants to feel her heat next to him. He is in lust. Cora follows Mac, after all he has the mark. She wants to know if he is the one. Is he the one that can save the island; is he the new channeler? Somehow she needs to get Mac to her aunt, the island protector.
Cora and Mac have the type of relationship that you just wish you could jump in the book and say get on with it. She likes to tease him and he has many dreams of mounting her with joy. In the story we watch these two battle, yet fall in love. Mac starts to see dead people and Cora is finally able to send Mac to her aunt. When Mac meets Aunt Ma, it changes his world. Mac has found the legend that he has been seeking; however this legend is more than he bargained for.
This story leads you to wonder what is going to happen next. The climax of the story is near the end of the, therefore you have a long wait. It touches on the rat race of life and sacrifices that we make to actually get enjoyment out of life. It speaks of protecting the things you love and releasing the emotions within. It speaks of hardships and triumphs. It is a lovely story.
