Jax Markson is a vampire hunter. Her father was killed by a vampire and she is out for revenge. Ian Mordoor has a job to do; he is searching for Drace, a rogue vampire. Ian has been selected the new leader of the Bruen clan. Drace was not happy with his selection. Ian and Jax have been stalking the same prey. Jax is more than fascinated by Ian but she doesn't know he is a vampire too. Ian is surprised that Jax is a vampire hunter but more so, she is his mate too!
Jax has more than a few problems on her hand - the biggest is her mantra of "all vampires are evil". She learned it from her father and it has been pounded into her all her life. She is torn when she finds out about Ian. Ian makes her body sing and their chemistry is sizzling hot. She has to come to terms with it all and move on with her life. Ian is a marvelous hero. He is what we have come to expect of the "vampire". He exudes sex and power. He knows Jax is the woman for him and he uses everything to get her including the sexual attraction between them. These two lead characters are ably supported by a myriad of characters: Mark, Sebastian and even Drace. Lucian and Rana from the first book make an appearance.
This is book two in this series. The reader doesn't need to go back and read the first book A Taste of Passion to understand this one. This book can and does stand alone. The author has provided a new take on the "vampire" world. She provides vivid descriptions of the vampire society. A glossary and explanation of vampire terms are provided by the author. It appears at the beginning of the book which enables the reader to become familiar with them before embarking onto the book. A Taste of Passion contains action, intrigue, romance and of course, a high amount of erotic interaction. It also builds the anticipation to the next book in this series. This has been a very enjoyable foray into Ms. Michelle's "vampire" world and we look forward to the next installment.Reviewed by: Susan
