Blue Moon
Jessie McQuade is a policewoman that believes in what she can see, feel, and taste; in other words, she does not believe in the myths and superstitions that fill her small Wisconsin town. However, when things begin to happen that can't be explained, she is forced to call upon Will Cadotte. Will is an expert on Native American mythology and it would appear that someone is more than just interested in an ancient werewolf legend. His knowledge may be the key that will help stop the suspected murders and “disappearances” of the townspeople. That is assuming that Will and Jessie can keep their minds focused on the investigation. Jessie has been able to ignore most men, but something about Will calls to her. When he returns the interest, the passion that ensues is scorching. However, when the clues imply that he may know more than he is saying, will Jessie follow her heart or her head? Will she be able to put all the clues together and finish the job, before the werewolves finish her?
Blue Moon is fantastic. Lori Handeland displays an amazing talent for suspenseful storytelling. This plot is unique and refreshing, a book that suspense and paranormal fans can't help but enjoy. The story moves quickly, filled with witty dialogue and surprising events. Just when you think you may know where Ms. Handeland is taking you, the plot offers a surprise. The characters are distinct and memorable. The hero and heroine are especially engaging. Readers can't help but hope that Jessie will find the answers and get to keep the hero at the same time. The sexy banter between Will and Jessie may have you fanning yourself. Whereas other dialogue will have you laughing outright at Jessie's dry wit and self-deprecating sense of humor. Blue Moon is a rewarding read. It will have you on the edge of your seat, biting your nails until the final climax. A definite must read!!
