On the voyage back to London, Tori gets the opportunity to learn so much more about the handsome captain who came to save her. So much that she finds herself with feelings she has never encountered before. Burning with desire for Grant, Tori does everything she can to get the lonely captain to act on his desire she knows he feels for her. The more Grant struggles to control the raging desire he feels for Tori, the more he falls in love with her. But she deserves everything she was cheated out of by being stranded on that island and Grant is not going to stand in her way of experiencing that.

An exciting tale, Ms. Cole whisks you away to centuries past, letting you feel the love, desire, and anguish that both Grant and Tori face. I found myself ensconced into another world, returning only when I read the very last word. The sexual tension between Tori and Grant is gripping and has you turning the pages until you learn what happens. We also get to visit with some of the characters from Ms. Cole's first book, The Captain of Pleasure and get introduced to a few interesting secondary characters. The Price of Pleasure is a perfect romance book to add your summer reading list. I look forward to reading more of Kresley Cole in the future.
