A Leaf in the Wind

In Steve Lazarowitz', A Leaf in the Wind, Tanrif leaves home to experience adventure and discovers his destiny.

Tanrif drifts towards the docks and stays until the night a Sarithan Assassin attempts to kill him. Confused and wounded he stumbles into Cyanne's home and arms. Determined to elude the Sarithan Assassins, Tanrif and Cyanne leave for the East.

Determined to fulfill Duchess Amalga's last wish, Kestryl heads to The Skyshore Realm in search of Cyanne, whom he has not seen in 15 years. Hunted by an unknown enemy, Kestryl narrowly escapes assassination convinced that a traitor sits on the High Gondylar Throne.

Bound by destiny, lead by the Goddess of Magic, Tanrif and Cyanne are separated by Kestryl's arrival. Alone Cyanne prepares to head back to High Gondylar when a severely wounded Tanrif appears. Tanrif vows to see Cyanne on the throne, yet the Sarithan Assassins still pursue him.

Throughout A Leaf in the Wind, Steve Lazarowitz reveals a world where the goddess’ use humans to fulfill their will and magic can save or harm. Cyanne and Tanrif’s escapades are breathtaking, exhilarating, and impulsive until the astonishing climax.

I could not put the book down, yet I did not want the story to end. I hope that Steve quickly finishes the last two books in the trilogy or I may have to lead a reader's revolt. Steve Lazarowitz' ability to create a complex story with a central theme that grasps the reader until the very end is a gift and joy.
