Knight of My Dreams
Sydney is convinced; she must be losing what’s left of her mind. She’s been having a recurring dream that is affecting her life. She’s not sleeping and she’s barely eating. Try as she might, the end of the dream continues to elude her. When the security consultant her aunt hired comes to her door, Sydney faints dead away.
Upon meeting Sydney, Winn immediately regrets taking this job. It should have been simple. Install a security system as a favor to an old friend and then be on his way home, but no. Instead Sydney faints at the sight of him. When she comes to, Sydney starts spouting off about past lives, the need to right a past wrong and the fact that she claims to be his soul mate. No way was he going down that road again. He though he’d already found his soul mate; until he discovered she was sleeping with his best friend.
Now Sydney must convince Winn that they were indeed past loves for she fears something horrible will happen if the mistakes of the past are repeated. She doesn’t know how to get through to him. Winn won’t even entertain the idea of believing her. As the days pass into the next, Sydney’s dreams become more disturbing. The need to have Winn believe in her is almost as overwhelming as her love for him. Sydney‘s only hope is to either convince Winn she’s telling the truth or to remember the dream in it’s entirety before it’s too late.
Knight of My Dreams is an alluring story from the first word. The blend of the past and present is perfect. CB Scott has created a tale that any romance reader will take pleasure in. The story is well known, a man, a woman and forbidden love. There are elements of paranormal, intrigue, humor and love. The present and past characters are extremely likeable and real to life. Both the past and present stories are very entangled, but CB Scott does an excellent job smoothly transitioning between each. Traveling back to 1300 England and reading the effects of that time on the current time will keep readers engrossed. The secondary characters add a dimension to the story that makes it all the more enjoyable. Sydney’s friendship with Ellie is down right hysterical. The witty banter is laugh out loud funny. I loved a Knight of My Dreams and once finished, I found myself wishing the story didn’t have to end.
