Niqui Stanhope has a definite hit with Whatever Lola Wants. This book contains all the elements of a great contemporary romance read. A strong female lead character, who can handle and learn from whatever life throws her way. A gorgeous male lead character strong in his own sense of self, honorable and decent. And a supporting cast of characters you can't help but adore. Most readers will relate to the desire to throw your success in the face of those who were not supportive or who were critical of you in the past. Readers will also appreciate the growth of the character as Sadie learns that sometimes true success is being able to let those feelings go. I found this modern spin of the ugly duckling theme fresh, real and just plain fun. I'm looking forward to Camille's tale coming next.
