The opening chapters of The Willing Warrior are so tragic and dramatic that there was no way that this reader could put the book down. Absolutely compelled to keep reading, I shared Keith’s urgent desperation to find Jewel/Amber. Amber and her close friend introduce a light-hearted note into the dire situation Kolten is facing. The girls add a healthy dose of reality and humour. They are in awe of the two barbarians. The physique and size of these men is unmatched in the 20th century. Their bedroom skills are legendary. Be prepared for some over the top lovemaking – 16th century style! Many of their hilarious “Conan the Barbarian” type of male comments had this reader laughing out loud. Take two brawny Scottish lairds, a virgin or two, mix in some spicy eroticism, a touch of fey…add a dash of time travel, some outrageous humor and you have Hollie Davidson’s recipe for a sure-fire winner! Do not miss this one!
