Priscilla Potter doesn’t need a man in her life. She is convinced men are just messy nuisances; as a result, she uses MOD’s. One day Priscilla’s in the middle of the ride of her life when the damn thing breaks, leaving her hanging. What’s a girl to do when all she wants is a little stress relief? At the moment, not a whole hell of a lot, but that’s about to change because she’s about to get a brand new, top of the line, Pinnacle Productions fully functional life-sized artificially intelligent male robot called the “Pleasure Bot” who’s been designed specifically with her in mind.

Declan O’Hanlon is a smuggler but prefers to think of himself as an entrepreneur. In order to escape the authorities he opts to lay low for a few days and does a little breaking and entering. While looking in the pantry a voice over the house speaker confronts him, proceeding to blackmail him with threats of turning him over to the authorities unless he agrees to give their boss the fantasy of a lifetime, which would include shagging her for the entire weekend. If he assents to the request, then at the end of the weekend, his ship and crew will be released and he will be allowed to leave without incident. Having no other choice than to accede to the terms, Declan decides to make the best of a bad situation.

And so the fun begins…Priscilla can’t believe how life-like her “Pleasure Bot” Declan is. He’s even been programmed to believe himself real! He talks back to her! He’s disrespectful to her! He’s disobedient! His manners are nasty! And he smells! This is one “Pleasure Bot” that appears to have run amok and was most definitely not designed with her in mind.

Declan doesn’t know what’s up with this woman, but she’s got another thing coming if she thinks she’s going be giving all the orders. Forget the fact that she has some funny ideas about him. She’s one tight-assed, uptight little witch and he’s just the one to set her straight.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Pleasure Bot. Ms. Devlin’s use of sexual innuendos was truly funny. One good example of this is how Declan refers to his mast and the lengthening of its sails. Pleasure Bot is full of humorous situations. Readers will laugh when they read about how Priscilla convinces Declan to use her pink depilatory cream despite its color and smell.

The secondary character of Agnes, the Artificial Intelligence Computer, adds to the humor of the story. Not only does this reviewer wish that she had a Declan Pleasure Bot of her very own, but she almost wishes she had an “Agnes” of her very own, even more so!

Ms. Delilah Devlin has written a delightfully funny and witty story in The Pleasure Bot. I would recommend this humorous erotic sci-fi story to all!
