Tess Iverson is used to being the sole anchorwoman at WGSO in Savannah. When the station manager informs her that he has hired a male co-anchor, Tess is livid. She had expected to remain the sole anchor, she did not expect Yankee Jared Cox to come in and invade her territory. She expects to hate him on sight, and while a part of her wants to do that same thing, another part of her becomes infatuated with the sexy and charismatic Yankee.

Jared can tell that Tess is attracted to him, but he’s unable to get her to do anything about it. She’s determined to hate him and to try to ruin his new job at WGSO. Tess takes her anger a step further when, one night during the 11pm news, she attempts to seduce Jared on camera. Not only does Jared become aroused, he becomes madder than hell. He’s going to show Tess that she can’t play with fire without getting burned. He’s determined to teach her a lesson she will never forget.

This was a fast read that had me grinning at Tess’s antics and her determination to get rid of Jared. After a bad breakup from her fiancé that she had dated since college, Tess has vowed to never get involved with a man again. But she can’t help wanting Jared’s hands all over her. Will she put pride and professionalism aside in order see the man Jared truly is?

Jared is really attracted to Tess and it shows. I enjoyed his quirky sense of humor in the face of her antagonism. It isn’t until the end that the reader gets to see Tess’s comeuppance, but it proves that even the hardest of women still need the love of a good man. News At 11 is as steamy as the location it was set in. It’s filled with passionate characters and erotic love scenes that will have you hooked to the very end.
