Beloved Forever
Nicholas Vallsade has been waiting for his love to reappear. For the past 800 years, he has loved and lost her four times but she has been reincarnated again as Emily Swesso. Nicholas takes her and makes her a vampire so she will be with him for all eternity. Emily is horrified with the entire idea of subsisting on blood and having to kill to survive. As Nicholas tries to cajole Emily to accepting her fate, his sire, Koss is making life difficult for them as he has been tracking Emily down through the centuries and killing her.
Emily is a normal young woman thrust into a bewildering situation. She handles it very well as she tries to cope with the changes in her life. Not only does she have to deal with her physical changes but also the emotional onslaught from Nicholas. At first, Nicholas does not come across as a nice man. He literally takes the decision of being immortal away from Emily. He turns her without her consent and is not very sympathetic to her feelings. However, as the story progresses, the reader sees a different side as his layers are slowly peeled back. He grew on this reader and ultimately, I found him very likable. He truly loves Emily and all he has done is because of that love. The author introduces a very important secondary character in Brannon, Nicholas’s nephew. His story is riveting and we can only hope he will have his own book in the future!!
Beloved Forever is a vampire love story with darker overtones. The physical aspect of the blood sucking is not cleaned up and the author does a thorough job of describing it. Although the main storyline is about Nicholas and Emily’s relationship, there are quite a few secondary plots running through it. All these storylines are pulled together at the end of the book. Of course, it goes without saying that the erotic action is intense and riveting. Ms. Tunstall focuses your attention on the characters and plotlines; the sexual aspects are just an added plus to the story. She does an excellent job of transitioning between the past and the present as she further explored Emily’s past lives with Nicholas. Beloved Forever is a haunting vampire tale of love lost and found.
