Today I am speaking with
Isabelle Rose.
Good Morning
Isabelle, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk to Fallen Angel Reviews today.
Isabelle, I love the
Naughty Fairy Tales, Volume 2, cover with the wolf. Why don’t you tell the readers about this release?
Naughty Fairy Tales V2 has a new twist on these fairy tales, Red Riding Hood, Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella.
Here’s a blurb so that readers know more about Naughty Fairy Tales V2:
Have you ever wondered…
...about Red Riding Hood's real story? Wolf follows her through the forest hoping to make her his next tasty meal. The last thing either one of them expected was for sparks to fly. With Geoffrey Hunter hot on their trail, who will get to Grandmother’s house first?
...if Beauty really tamed the Beast? Or did he bring out the wildness in her? After Linda hears her father’s ramblings about a monster in a far off chateau, she decides to see this creature for herself. What--or who--she finds there is more than she had bargained for.
...if Cinderella had really wanted to go to the ball? In this new twist on a classic fairy tale, Marie was an abused orphan trapped under her stepmother’s thumb. One night, she decides she’s had enough and runs away to her Aunt Millicent’s house, but not before having erotic adventures along the way. No fairy godmothers in this story, only a sneaky aunt and a crafty gypsy.
Bedtime got even more exciting!
Why don’t you tell us about your recent release?
Another book that was released recently was Naughty Fairy Tales V1.
This volume has rewritten versions of Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and The Fairies (an obscure fairy tale written by Charles Perrault).
Here’s another blurb that’ll explain things better,
Have you ever wondered...
...what happened to Alice after she came out of the rabbit hole? Ten years have gone by since that innocent, accidental venture. But Alice couldn't resist meeting old friends again. Will she finally catch the White Rabbit this time around? What of her friendship with the Cheshire Cat? As for Queen Scarlett of Hearts, she is after Alice as well and will stop at nothing until Alice is hers. Alice seems to be in more trouble than she ever was.
...what would happen should Snow White find shelter in a house with seven handsome men, after running away from a stepmother intent on killing her? She strikes a deal with them, in exchange for their silence. Seven men, seven days a week, a girl couldn't find herself in more delicious situations than this!
...what happened to Emma after she was gifted with the ability to produce a flower or precious jewel every time she speaks? When her mother drove her out of the house because of it, was the gift still a thing to be treasured or has it turned into a curse?
Bedtime just got more exciting!
What is in store for
Isabelle for the future and do you have works in progress as we speak?
I’m currently working on V3, I’m thinking about including rewrites of Rapunzel, Blue Beard and The Three Heads of the Well (another obscure fairy tale). As well as a fantasy erotic novel, but it’s going to take some time before it’s finished.
When do you find is the best time for you to do your writing?
Anytime that I can sit in front of the computer and do something productive, that’s the best time to do my writing. But to answer the question properly, most of my writing happens late in the afternoon and well into the night.
When your books are finished do you hate saying goodbye to the characters?
Not really. Because I always get to say ‘Hello’ to a new character and tell that person’s story. With my characters there’s no such thing as ‘Good bye’. I did what I was supposed to do, I told they’re story and they get to live in that world I helped create for them. And sometimes, if I’m lucky I get to tell another story using the same character.
What intrigues you about writing?
Everything. I love learning new ways to tell stories. I love creating characters and worlds for them to live and interact with others.
I was always a shy little girl growing up and writing in my journal was the only way I could express myself. So even if I weren’t writing creatively I would still find a way to express myself through words.
Is there a particular author that you must have their book to read?
I love Terry Moore, he’s the writer/artist of the comic book Strangers In Paradise. He makes me wish I knew how to draw. Another writer I think is amazing is Gregory Maguire. I loved, loved Wicked. It was so good. I make sure I keep his books close by.
I have found that some authors listen to music while they compose. Is music your solace while writing or do you have another comfort as you write?
Music fuels my imagination. If I didn’t have the radio turned on I wouldn’t get anything done. I can’t even walk my dog unless I have my Ipod turned on. I can’t do housework unless I have the radio turned on.
I've been seeing a number of discussions on the Yahoo groups about Happily-Ever-After. Do you feel that HEA is necessary to a romance novel?
Every writer is different. I don’t need to have a happy ever after ending all the time, but I need to have something that gives me satisfaction as a reader. Personally I prefer a happy ending.
If you could go back in time, where would you go and when? What is one thing you would want to take with you?
Wow, that’s a really good question. I would want to go back to the time of the Renaissance. I would want to meet Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo. What would I take with me? Probably a sketch from those artists.
If you could be a musical instrument what would you be?
The violin.
Do you belong to any loops or have a myspace? Or have another website besides this one?

I’m glad you asked because I do have a MySpace page it’s http://www.myspace.com/isabellerose23 and a Yahoo! Group http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Isabelle_Rose_Group/
Do you have any indulgent behaviors one might find surprising? What’s your favorite comfort food?
I’m a big shopper. I love technology. Any kind of gadget that can do a hundred things at once, or that I can hold it in my hand. Shoes, and bags are also on my list of things I love.
My favorite comfort food is dark chocolate.
