Hello
Cyndi and welcome to Fallen Angel Reviews. I am glad you could join us today. The readers are eager to hear about
Cyndi Friberg.
Cyndi, congrats as the award-winning author of Paranormal Romance. You have a nice list of books, plus you have some great reviews, too. You go, girl!
Thanks, Linda. I'm proud of all of my books, but it's wonderful affirmation when reviewers enjoy them too.
I noticed that you married your high school sweetheart. I know what it is like when people say, 'oh, that won't last,' don't you just love people who think they can predict what will last and what won't? I see you have shown them it truly can last.
Scott is the best thing that ever happened to me. I can't imagine my life without him.
Why don't we begin by telling us a little more about
Cyndi?
Well, Scott and I have two grown sons and we're enjoying having the house to ourselves for a change! I love music and live performances, anything from theater, to concerts, to stand-up comedians.
I currently have seven books available and three more contracted for release. Actually that's only half the story. I also write erotic romance as Aubrey Ross and I have over thirty titles available. Needless to say, writing is my life!
Why not tell us about your latest release?
City Of Tears is the third installment of the Ontarian Chronicles, a sci-fi, action/adventure saga. The heroine is a cybernetically enhanced assassin. The hero helps her adjust to life after she's been liberated from the people who created her implants. Though undeniably sci-fi, it is also an emotionally evocative love story.
When is your next book due?
The first book in my Rebel Angel trilogy releases in June. Born Of The Shadows is one of my all time favorite books. It's a cross between a knight in shining armor adventure and a sizzling vampire romance.
Do you see yourself ever not writing?
Absolutely not. I'm utterly miserable when I don't write.
Was there any author or authors that helped you get your start writing, or helped you break into the field?
Many writers inspire me. Sherilyn Kennon, Christine Feehan, Dara Joy, Angela Knight, to name a few. Lacey Savage and I have been critique partners for several years now and I think she's fantastic.
In what order do you write? For example, starting beginning to end, combining parts, in random order or in development cycle?
I've always written in a linier fashion, following an outline. I leave lots of wiggle room in my outlines for my characters to speak their minds, but I have to have some idea of where I'm going before I get started.
Do you feel that e-books afford authors a bit more freedom of expression in their books?
I can only speak for myself, but I've found e-publishers far more open to my twisted, cross-genre ideas than more conventional publishing houses. E-publishers have a lower overhead, so they can afford to take a risk on ideas that cross lines and push the creative envelop.
What kind of avenues do you use in promoting your books?
I have a yahoo group called Anything-but-Ordinary where I keep fans informed about developing news, hold contests, and post excerpts. I post cover adds on various review sites, participate in numerous forums, groups, and blogs, as well as Myspace pages. But mostly I've found the best promotion is my next release!
Do you think the small press and e-books will be the wave of the future?
The demand for electronic books has been growing steadily over the past few years and I don't see it stopping any time soon. More and more paper publishers are launching electronic divisions. I don't see electronic books replacing paper books in my lifetime, but the industry is definitely on the rise.

Congratulations
Cindy, you have just won a trip to any place of your choice for a whole week. What is your choice destination trip?
I'd love to go on a cruise to Alaska.
What is your favorite fast food place that you absolutely love?
Does Starbucks count? LOL I think of fast food as a semi-necessary evil. I don't really like any of it. Coffee on the other hand, is a definite must.
Cyndi thank you so very much for spending time with us today. I look forward to all your releases and wish you continued success.
