Today Fallen Angel Reviews has the pleasure of speaking to
Raine Delight. Raine, why not pull up a chair and relax. I do hope you are over your head cold and are feeling better.
Thanks Linda. I am getting there. Just a cough that won't go away and I am just thankful I never got the flu! *knocks on wood* Now if spring would pop up in my neck of the woods I will be thrilled. :)
I heard you like Johnny Depp, so do I. Let's talk about something else charming, your release
A Little Charmed Magic. It is now in print and know you are excited. I believe it is a holiday book. Why not tell the readers about this release?
Unfortunately, this was scrapped at lulu due to issues I had with some things. It is now on hold until a later date. :)
Yep...love Johnny Depp. *smiles*
When you begin your stories to you go with the flow or follow an outline?
I go with the flow. *smiles* I tried plotting and frankly it never goes the way I want it to. Lol Those pesky characters just go off and do their thing and I clean up after them. *smiles*
What is the hardest part of writing/the easiest for you?
Hardest part...trying to find time in my busy schedule to write. :) Between that pesky day job, kids, honey and then having time for myself, it is really hard to write some days but I am good at punching out 2-3K a day if I put my mind to it.
Easiest: oh man...I always get the blurb before I start. No idea why but it all comes after that.
Are you in control of your characters or do they control you?
If they had their way, I would never get any sleep or eat anything. *sighs dramatically* My Muse is one demanding man once he gets his butt off the beach and stos drinking mai tais. lol
My characters tend to start talking when I am off to sleep and then I am all about trying to get everything on paper or a word doc. so I can start it.
Growing up, did you ever keep a journal and write notes about the stories you would love to write?
Actually I wrote just little shorts. I read more than anything, dreamed of being rescued until I got into Beatrice Small books and found some kick butt heroines who didn't need rescuing every 30 seconds. *smiles*
You are called upon, at a school, to tell those interested in becoming an author, all the ins and outs of good writing skills and getting published. Name three important elements in writing, publishing and promoting that you would give them.
Practice your craft, learn from others and always make sure to let people know about your books.
Name three things you look for in the other person.
Personality, compatibility and sensitivity. :) When I met my honey 2 years ago, I found so me one who is the opposite of me yet loves the same things as I do. He may not be model handsome to some but to me, he makes my heart melt with a glance and holds my heart in his hands with a gentleness that makes me love him more. :)
What three words describe you?
Oh man....*smiles* if I had my friends answer this they would probably say: wild, happy and mouthy. *grins* luckily they can't answer. Lol I would say: happy, content and creative.
Is there any specialty you look for in the perfect man?
I have found my "perfect" man though to many he probably isn't their idea of perfection. I think I looked for personality and how he treated my kids before looks. :)
I believe on a couple of your books you listened to Andrea Bouchelli and Josh Groban, (I love them, too). What other inspirations do you use when composing besides music?
I adore their music. Now I am listening to Michael Buble, Buckcherry, Bon Jovi figured in one of my books and a few others. I am pretty electric.
I noticed you work part time as a chef/baker. If you were to be chosen to appear on the Iron Chef on Food Network, which Iron Chef would you choose, and what would you like for the secret ingredient to be?
Oh man...I love, love Rachel Ray and Mario Battali. I would prefer the secret ingredient to be pumpkin. lol I can do many things with pumpkin or even squash. *smiles*

Do you have a favorite movie that you never grow tired of?
Give me anything by Johnny Depp or any natural disaster film. Though I am partial to Armageddon with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck. :)
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Anywhere with my family. :) Though I am partial to warm weather. lol
For Fun: Nice warm soothing bubble baths or hot showers?
Oh man I love both. A hot shower after I get home from work and a bath to relax in on lazy weekends. :)
Raine, it was so good having you with us today. We look forward to more of your great works.
Thank you for having me Linda. I love the questions and I look forward to talking with you!
