Cheyenne McCray Interview

Today I have the pleasure of speaking with author Cheyenne McCray. Thanks for taking time to talk with me today Cheyenne.
Thank you for having me!

To start, will you please tell us a little bit about your current projects?
I have an erotic alter-ego, Jaymie Holland, and I've been writing a series of erotic romance novella collections. The next collection will be available in mid-August and is titled Rough & Ready: Cowboy Crazy.

Can you tell readers a little bit about your new release Zombies Sold Separately?
Nyx faces her worst fears as she and the other Night Trackers go up against Zombies in Zombies Sold Separately. An evil and very powerful Sorcerer desires to find a replacement for his own dying world. He comes to Earth with a plan he has executed successfully in another world to take over its people. It is a book full of imaginative magic and unique, fun characters.

Zombies Sold Separately is the fourth book in the Night Tracker series. What are the most challenging things for you in creating and continuing with a series?
The most challenging part of writing a series is keeping track of and remembering details.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
I find that life disruptions can be challenging. I need to sit and focus on my writing for a certain number of hours during the day and I have to be careful to not let things disrupt my writing if at all possible. Not an easy task.

What is the most interesting thing you've done in the name of research?
I traveled to San Francisco, Boston, and New York City on my own and explored the cities and interviewed people I had prearranged interviews with. It was all amazing, going on my own.

If you could meet one of your characters, who would it be?
Nyx would be interesting to meet because she kicks ass and turns purple. ;) She leads an interesting life, knows lots of different types of beings, and is still a girl under all of that leather.

If you could pick any celebrity to be on the cover of your book, who would it be and why?
Hugh Jackman because he's the man I imagine when I am writing the first book in the new Immortal Guardians paranormal romance series.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I move around from one place to another in my house to write. My office, my rocking chair in the living room, the dining room table, and sometimes on my bed.

If you could leave your readers with one legacy, what would you want it to be?
Allowing readers to find escape in my books from the challenges of every day life, if only for a while.

Which one of the characters you've created is most like you?
Lani in Wild Borders.

Which character do you wish you could be for a week?
Nyx because she's not only kickass, but she's a girl, too. :)

What can your fans look forward to in the next twelve months from you?
I'm writing a new series, Immortal Guardians which involves angels & demons and a whole lot of trouble.

Now for a little fun. Please finish the following sentences:

My favorite place in the world is…
San Francisco and Monaco

I'd love to meet…
James Lee Burke, my favorite author.

My first celebrity crush was…
Harrison Ford
