Phenomenal! This book is magic. Mark of the Blood is the first offering in The Marauders series. The author has done a masterful job creating a work that flows with all the elements of a great read. The storyline is complex, filled with suspense, magic, and romance. Ms. Tregarth displays her skill as she weaves a story that captures readers from the beginning. The combination of excellent characters with an original storyline made this work a joy to experience. The book opens with the fate of the brothers being set forth by The Morrigan. This is an immediate lure, and this reviewer had to see what providence held for these brave men. Upon meeting Niam, I couldn't stop reading. Niam is a sexy, strong, and compassionate character. He meets his match in Kirstie. Her personality is such that women will try and emulate her characteristics. She is a wonderful friend, lover, and fights for what she believes is right. Yet she is not without fears and doubts that allow the reader to empathize with her situation. The romance between these two is both hot and endearing. Add this romance to the suspense of the ongoing investigation and this is a book you will not want to miss out on. The climax and denouement of the book will have you on the edge of your seat.
