Jan McKane was partners with her father, Tex, in McKane Investigations. With Tex's sudden and unexpected death, Jan decides to close the company in Corpus Christi and move to her childhood home in Central Texas. Gini Wilson has weaved a remarkable tale with Deceptions. This story will keep you guessing who Jan and Cole can trust and who they can't. Jan is a strong heroine who takes charge of her own life and doesn't need to depend on anyone. Cole is also a strong character who, even though it can be infuriating at times, respects the fact that Jan is a take charge type of person and not someone who will stand idly by and let a man "protect" her.
