Code Name: Nanny
Summer is highly cynical, with reason, in the trust department. She counts on no one but herself to get the job done. That’s why on her latest assignment, when she finds herself unwillingly paired with Gabe, she’s not at all thrilled.
Gabe isn’t exactly happy to be working with her either. As a Navy Seal, he is perfectly capable of working with others, but working with Summer is all together different. Instantly, he’s attracted. Besides the fact that Summer permeates “don’t get near me“ vibes, a quick romp and this job just won’t do. Gabe is compelled to earn Summer’s trust. He knows he can work without her, or work around her, but he’d rather work with her.
Summer is scarred, emotionally and physically by a mistake early in her career that was not her own. Maintaining a distant yet professional demeanor has never been a problem for her, but this case suddenly has her emotions are all over the place. The two children she is sworn to protect make Summer feel unsure but strong as she helps them; and Gabe has her feeling vulnerable and feminine. For a man who doesn’t want any form of commitment and a woman who’s afraid to trust, what will be left for them when the mission is over?
Code Name: Nanny is a thrilling book from beginning to end. Christina Skye has created a scenario that has many different layers. The introduction of several secondary characters only adds that much more to this story. Every character has a place that feeds into the story. The intense feelings from Gabe and Summer are exciting to read. What woman wouldn’t want Gabe to look after her and work with? He’s sexy and gentle when he needs to be, and also harsh and unbending when the situation calls for it. This story gets better and better the more you read. There’s danger around every corner, intrigue as Summer and Gabe try to piece together the puzzle to keep everyone safe and a love that deepens, yet might not withstand the obstacles in the way. Code Name: Nanny is an excellent read and an absolutely must buy! 5 Angels!
