The second story in Ms. Crigger’s Gunsmith series is just as exciting and enthralling as the first one. You can practically smell the gunpowder and feel the adrenaline as Caleb fights for his life on the battlefield. Readers will experience the deep fear, hopelessness, and love that the characters feel as they are swept away on this thrilling journey.

Vivid descriptions, true-to-life characters, and nonstop action all come together to make a great read. This reviewer found it very hard to put this book down once I started it. This is a highly recommended series for all who love a great adventure story. This reviewer can’t wait to see what Ms. Crigger has in store next for Boothenay and Caleb!
