Outlaw Lovers: Jude Outlaw
Jude Outlaw takes place in the year 2020. Due to the death of most of the female population, a newly re-formed United States government has taken away women's rights and enacted the "Claiming Law," a law that makes women pieces of property to be owned and claimed by any group of men able turn in a sexual consummation video to the U.S. Claims office. The problem doesn't stop there though, because multiple groups of men can try to claim a woman. The winner of the woman would be the group of men turning in the most creatively entertaining sexual acts video. Monogamous marital relationships are now a thing of the past!
It is here that we meet Cate Callahan and Jude Outlaw. They love each other. However, the new law makes it impossible for them to marry. Consequently, Jude has convinced his four brothers to help him claim Cate. What he hasn't counted on is Cate's unwillingness to fall in with his plans. Now she's on the run from him and he has to chase her down before another group of men can claim her.
Jude Outlaw is a well-written story about what could happen if most of the female population was to die. New laws would have to be enacted to preserve humanity as a whole and most of these laws would more than likely be undesirable. Fear and panic would make many women flee as Cate did and the shortage of women would make most men chase after them, as did Jude.
While I am not a fan of multiple sex partners and polygamous marriages the plotline behind Jude Outlaw shows imagination and flare. I'm sure readers will find the story of Jude Outlaw as interesting to read as I have. Don't miss out on the first book in the original series of Outlaw Lovers.
