Here Comes Trouble

Gracie Matthews has always been surrounded by men: first by her six older brothers and father, than by her four best friends, all guys. They call themselves the Fab Five and it is one member in particular that Gracie is enthralled with from the moment she met him in the fourth grade. That man is Mark Hart and he is everything she has every dreamed of, she compares him to every man she meets, but he doesn't see her as anything more than a best friend. When she quits her most recent job, it is Mark she turns too, but is quickly disillusioned by his playboy ways. When Mark tries to help Gracie by setting her up with one of his ex-girlfriends in order to start a business he gets way more than he bargained for when not only does Sondra Jones mentor Grace in the ways of men, but she encourages her to get a makeover and new clothes to better show off her feminine attributes.

Though Grace is a bit embarrassed by her new look, she can't help hoping that this change will be all the impetus that Mark needs to start seeing her as a woman and possible lover. Mark notices Grace's changes big time and he starts seeing red when other men start paying attention to her. But as jealous as he is, there is no way he can cross the boundaries of friendship and make love with Grace, after all, she's his best friend. Unfortunately, Mark isn't Grace's only problem. Sondra has ulterior motives for wanting to help Grace that don't include Mark and Grace getting together. Can these best friends finally see that their friendship can survive a relationship? Will Mark ever convince Grace that he has always loved her, no matter how much he denied it to himself? Here Comes Trouble will keep you on the edge of your seat, hoping that Grace and Mark can make it work.

Lori Soard has written a great story. The friendship between Mark and Grace is truly touching, but it was watching them fall in love that really made this story go from good to great. Not only is this a well-written story, but the characters are very true to life and easy to understand. Many people have experienced falling in love with a good friend at one time or another and Lori Soard truly makes this situation seem realistic and natural. The additional members of the Fab Five give this story plenty of laughs, and the cruelness of Sondra will have any reader wanting to see her downfall. Here Comes Trouble is a great romance that will have the reader championing the passionate love between Mark and Grace.
