The second installment of Rex Morgenthal's Space Angels series, Space Angels 2: The Final Cut continues the story of Terry Benson, who was abducted by aliens to serve as breeder to forty human females. The alien kidnappers, the MFs, are trying to select the best "stock" to populate a colony of humans.
Space Angels 2: The Final Cut opens as Phil Tremain, Terry's good friend, is awakened from cyber-sleep. When Phil finds out the reason for his abduction, he eagerly takes on the assignment of servicing the female captives. And what eager females they are! Selected for their physical attractiveness and open-mindedness, most of them are willing to couple with just about anyone, each other included.
The few abducted females who are unwilling to submit to mating have been banished to the ship's catacombs. As punishment for their refusal, they are forced to clean the excrement of the repulsive slug-snakes kept by the MFs. As they talk about their dreams of escape, they receive word through the cleaning bots that a rescue is being planned.
Space Angels 2: The Final Cut is a fusion of erotica and science fiction, with the emphasis on erotica. It was more serious than I had expected based on the cover art and the synopsis. Mr. Morgenthal has written a dark and highly sexual tale of human survival. It's an interesting look at what length people might go to in order to stay alive, and even thrive, in the midst of captivity.
The characters' thoughts and feelings are explored in many of the scenes, making them more like real people instead of just sexual stereotypes. The rescue plot also adds some adventure to the mix.
I recommend Space Angels 2: The Final Cut to anyone looking for well written, thought provoking erotica.Reviewed by: Shelley
