When Nikometros is taken as spoils of war, he must learn a whole new way to life. He learns that he can't touch Tomyra, daughter of The Great Goddess no matter how much he may want to, to do so would be his death. It isn't long before the two cannot help themselves and they succumb to their passion. There is a problem though, it would seem that Nikomentros angered a lot of evil men and now it's Tomyra who will pay the price.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Max Overton is officially an auto buy for me. I don't need to know the genre or even what the story is about. I know that if it has Max Overton on the book I'm guaranteed an excellent read filled with action packed adventure and emotional involvement. What more can a reader ask for?
Lion of Scythia is an intriguing page turner not for the faint of heart. This story is very tragic but I feel that Max captured that part of history and all it's harsh ways. This reviewer is very upset about the horror that Tomyra is subjected to at the end of the story and the way Max ended it left me in tears. I should also mention that Max is a little devil and the way he ended the story will leave you gasping for more. I believe my exact words were . . . "You can't do this to me! Is the next story released yet?" This story is continued in The Golden King and this reviewer will be sure to read it. I need to know to fate of Nikomentros and Tomyra and how strong their love really is. Max, as always, you did a marvelous job!
