Faith and Honor
Faith Ashley returned to Boston at a critical time. Although her father had insisted she stay with her family she knew that she belonged back in the home she had shared with her late husband. Upon her return to the bustling city she meets Fletcher Irons, who comes to her rescue when she has a slight run in with a British officer. No man, besides William, has ever made feelings stir like this stranger she just met. A true rebel at heart and willing to do anything she can for her country, she cannot believe it when she realizes she has developed feelings for a British officer.
Fletcher Irons knows he wants Faith from their first meeting. Though Faith fights him at every turn, he wants her to see the man inside of him instead of the color of his uniform. As their love starts to grow the Rebellion of the States against England comes to a head. Now both Faith and Fletcher must go with their hearts. Can Faith love a man who stands for everything she is against?
Robin Maderich has written a winner! She gives her readers a sense of what life was like during the Revolution. The conflict within the two main characters was superbly done. Faith is a strong woman who does not easily cave in to the ideas of society when most women in her time would have. She chooses to stand and fight for her country even if that means she could be tried for treason. Faith's character alone is reason enough to read Faith and Honor, the first book in the Honor trilogy.
Ms. Maderich also uses a real historical backdrop in her story making readers feel they are sitting right in the middle of the Revolution. Fans of Early American romance will not want to pass up on this trilogy!
