Mortal Sin

Sarah Connolly was not having an easy life. Being divorced three times wasn't even her largest problem. Her life does a complete one eighty when her niece, the spunky, hard headed fifteen year old Kit runs away. Kit didn't like the move. She didn't like her life and her dreams of being an actress didn't include living with her tough loved aunt that didn't just allow her to do as she pleased.

Sarah has to face many obstacles to try and overcome if she is going to find Kit. When she finally hits her wits end she meets Father Clancy. The two pair up to help find the troubled youth but along the way feelings begin. Feelings that shouldn't be there since he is a Father in Ministry. He agrees to help her, having once been there himself.

Growing up on the wrong side of the tracks he once loved trouble. Finding God saved his soul from mass destruction. Along the way their friendship grows as they are faced with some dark areas in life but what happens when it doesn't turn out so happily ever after?

Mortal Sin has got to be one of the best books I have read in a long time. This is definitely a keeper and will enthrall the reader. You just cannot put it down. Laurie Breton doesn't stop at anything. Her strong willed tactics and non-sugar coating story lines rock. She tells it like it is and I respect that tremendously. She shows the real life and what happens to teenagers. Her portrayal of Kit is so true and real. I like how she slowly brings Father Clancy Donovan and Sarah together in respect for both sides. Well written and a must have.
