Alexandra Perry arrives in Alaska to do a job. She has been awarded a grant for a project. Alex is a photographer and artist. However, she is met with displeasure after traveling for so many hours. Professor Nicholas Sheppard (Hawk) is not a happy man. He thought he was getting a male not a female addition to his staff. Hawk wants her to leave on the next plane but Alex stands her ground. Can Alex survive the Alaskan environment? Can Hawk ignore his attraction to her?

Running from Love features two strong lead characters. Alex's determination and yes, her stubbornness serves her well in the harsh Alaskan environment. It also helps her survive the onslaught from Hawk as he wants her to leave ASAP. She is adaptable, feisty and very smart woman. Hawk is an alpha male to the core. Normally he will get his way but comes up against a brick wall named Alex. He only does "one night stands" and his reputation is renown in the Alaskan community. Hawk is very attracted to Alex and once he succumbs to temptation the territorial male comes out in full force. He is a man trying to stay in control but the reader knows he is losing the battle. Alex and Hawk are wonderful together and it goes without saying their sexuality chemistry is red-hot!!

The Alaskan environment is detailed thoroughly in this book and this reader was transported to it. We could empathize with Alex's predicament as she tried to settle and adjust to the land. The author must have done intensive research and it shows in the descriptions. There are a myriad of secondary characters and they all are positive additions to the story. It was quite enjoyable to watch them all interact especially at the local watering hole.

Kathryn Anne Dubois has written another winner! Running from Love is chock full of highly erotic action as well as heartfelt emotions. The two lead characters tugs at the reader's heartstrings and we can't help but fall in love with them. If you enjoy a heartwarming romance brimming with erotic tension, then this one is for you!!
