Diana had been dating Dane but it is not really a serious relationship. Haakon, Dane's father, had been in South America for a while, but now he was back and he wanted to talk to her. She figured he was going tell her not to see his son anymore. They were rich, she wasn't. Meeting Haakon wasn't at all what she expected. Diana felt like she was looking into the eyes of her soul mate. The bond between them was instant. Haakon thought that Diana was the reincarnated spirit of his dead wife. He wasn't sure how that was possible since Diana was born before Lisa died, but he felt it in his soul that Diana's spirit was Lisa.
While in Haakon's house Diana felt certain someone was watching her, but when she looked there was no one there. Diana's best friend Amber was married to Haakon's son, Dakota. Haakon was trying to keep the peace in his family after the youngsters' hasty marriage. While talking with Dakota and Amber, Haakon watched while first Dakota and then he himself was attacked by an unseen force. Before his own eyes, he saw a gloved hand materialize from nowhere and attack Dakota. Then the force turned on him. Dakota is barely injured and suddenly there are people all over his office tending to him. Amber explains that they are a race from another planet and they've been integrated into his family so that Dakota could heal from her real father's previous attack on him that almost left him dead. Haakon would never abandon his son, other being or not, Dakota is his son. Haakon is unbearably torn. He has hoped to slowly court Diana back into his life; because he could never let her go now that he knew that Lisa was a part of her. Yet how could he expect her to not only believe but also accept that aliens from another world were now, and it seemed had been apart of his life for quite some time. Diana can't believe how quickly she has fallen for Haakon. The neglected, unwanted child in her doesn't believe that anyone could ever want her the way Haakon seems to. Before she can trust in him, she has to believe in herself. However, Diana is confused. How can she trust Haakon, when is becomes obvious he is keeping something from her?
Forever Yours is an amazing story. You have alien beings, reincarnated love combined with mystery and intrigue. Belinda Palmer builds realistic as well as fantastic worlds in this amazing tale. She adds additional elements to the story that make it a truly exceptional story. The May/December relationship between Diana and Haakon has many obstacles to overcome; yet the love between Diana and Haakon seems to be strong. Not only do you have their relationship to contend with, but also Haakon's deep love and unwavering support of his sons. Dakota is a troubled soul and readers' hearts will be warmed as he reaches out to his father for comfort and understanding. Belinda Palmer weaves all of this together in a powerful and dynamic story.
