Birds Do It
Birds known to people as sometimes annoying creatures, yet, for two people they are matchmakers bringing them to love and a life meant for each other. Macaws are beautifully decorated birds need to mate with other Macaw at certain times. A man also has a time when he needs to mate with a woman. The same goes for the woman, yet it is not always that easy like birds. Garr Logan is a man who doesn't have that much time to be with women, considering he has a nine year old to take care. All things change when his mother leaves her Macaw bird with him. The the Macaw sees Garr as an enemy instead of a friend. The only thing to do is call for help, literally speaking. There is only one person who can help Garr, help that he didn't think of sooner.
Birdie has that special touch when it comes to birds. All her life she has swayed from men, never letting her emotions or feelings get in the way. Things change when she is summoned to Logan's Hollow to help a man with a bird. She never thought her life would change that day; least of all, she sees a person she thought was dead nine years ago. Garr's presence only confuses her more for the reason that he ignites a desire and an attraction in her that she thought was dormant. Can birds really bring two people to love one another?
Lizzie Starr is an author who is going places in the book world. She brings a story that is not only heartwarming and enchanting but most of all one that anyone can read and root for Birdie in this story. Birdie has had a hard life after being raped by a scumbag and getting pregnant. The bad thing is that though she was raped by him she did give birth to a child she always wanted. What's terrible is that she looses that child to death, or so she thinks. Garr Logan is a man who had to take responsibility early on when his wife passed away. Taking care of his daughter, Rachelle is not an easy task or handling a huge bird for Garr.
Even the birds in this latest one by Mrs. Starr are a riot to read about in this book. The bird, a Macaw needs to mate, and unfortunately, Birdie has another Macaw perfect for this male bird. Matchmakers or annoying creatures Garr doesn't care as long as he is close to Birdie. A book worth reading and keeping as this reviewer laughed, cheered and applauded for the comedy in this book that only Lizzie Starr was able to create with finesse.
