Silken' Silkie' Trevor, an operative of Heartland Investigative Services is not pleased with the assignment she has been given by the agency's co-owner, Ross Bennis. She is to infiltrate the naturalist resort, or in her opinion the nudist colony, Mistral Cay. A place where rich and influential women can go to have all their desires fulfilled. The only way to get onto the island is by invitation only and the only males allowed are the staff members. Silkie must be the one to go since she is the only female operative they have at the agency. Fay Lynden, a wealthy woman has hired them to find her son who had been taken away from her when he was two-years-old, and put up for adoption. The only way to identify him is by a birthmark on the base of his scrotum, since with the exception of the owner, Julian St. John and his administrative assistant, all the male employees of the resort wear full-head silk masks.
Greg Strictland, co-owner of the company, and who has had a previous relationship with Silkie, which he would like to continue, is not pleased with Bennis for taking this case. He has arranged for her to go in undercover as Sara Trevor, an assistant to Urologist, Dr. Carstairs. Dr. Carstair is a bi-yearly client of the resort and a former client of their agency, so on her recommendation, Silkie is allowed on the island with her on a working holiday. The doctor is writing a book on male genitalia, a detailed work about function, and associated medical problem that will be accompanied by photographs. Silkie, as her assistant will be taking digital pictures of all the staffs male appendages. She will make sure they know she does not want to participate in the sexual activities of the resort!
Julian St. John is enchanted with Dr. Carstairs' assistant, Sara, but doesn't believe her story. He decides to have her investigated, because he has to be very careful about who is allowed on his island. Julian has many secrets that if exposed means danger to anything he holds dear. Sara is fast becoming an obsession to him. He finds that he is jealous for the first time in his life, and does not want her taking pictures of the employee's appendages. Sara finds him to be mysterious, powerful, and authoritative, with such a potent sexuality that he has her seriously thinking of partaking in the resorts fun and games if he is willing! What will happen when they discover all the secrets each of them are hiding? What danger will this bring to them? Will Silkie give in to her more sensuous side and enjoy this powerful attraction between them?
PASSION'S MISTRAL, a gripping, enthralling and sensual story, which will hold the reader ensnared until the very last page. The characters are well developed and believable. I loved Julian and felt all the emotions and pain this poor damaged soul experienced. Silkie is a very likable and humorous character that will have you rooting for her to make the right decision. DAWN is an outstanding author who manages to capture the readers' imagination and takes them on an intensely sensual journey, while at the same time drawing the reader into the equally fascinating storyline. Sensual romance at its best! This book is a definite keeper for the bookshelves and I look forward to reading more from this talented author.
