Note: This story is Part 2 to Destiny's Magick by Rae Morgan, however the story can stand alone, there is only minor references to the first book.
Brenna Lindsay, a powerful white witch and healer of the Coven of the Wolf, stumbles on a murder. She had been on alert from the evil emanating from the warning letters anonymously placed at her home and business. When she requests assistance from her coven leader, she received it with two shape shifting males sent to keep her safe while she dealt with the evil. However, she didn't count on meeting her mate while doing it. All her powers tell her she must solve this crime, and to rid her area of evil, she must work with Ty, prophesied mate. Ty personifies the Alpha male to the nth degree, which causes some strife, but nothing that Brenna cannot deal with. With or without his cooperation she must make sure that the evil is eradicated from her territory.
Ty Buchanan, the new sheriff in Brenna's town, meets her over the body of a dead man whom every one had a motive to kill. From their first meeting he is undeniably drawn to Brenna and doesn't bother to fight the attraction. But due to his powerful need to protect Brenna he refuses to have her involved in what slowly unravels into a dangerous and complicated situation, which has already caused one death for sure. Brenna and his involvement with her cause him loads of grief, but the fringe benefits sure make up for all the angst.
Will they be able to work and trust each other in order to defeat their unknown foe? Well you'll have to buy the book to find out…
This story is a powerful paranormal romance, with strong overtones of mystery. It has everything you could want in a good read, strong romance, equally strong characters, drama and blistering sexual tension between the main characters. Add the incredible mystery and you have a hit.
This reviewer enjoyed the vivid detail and obvious research done in the story. Learning about witches, various goddesses, festivals and rituals was enlightening and very interesting.
Ms. Morgan has created a wonderful story that keeps you on your toes and reading until you've reached the end. The true test of any story is how difficult it is to leave it once it's been started and that is exactly what happened when this reviewer started it. Once this reviewer opened the story there was no way to leave it until the end, which turned out to be early morning…Definitely worth the lack of sleep though. If you enjoy paranormal or even mystery romance this is the book you wish to purchase. Ms Morgan has weaved a wonderful tale that this reviewer feels everyone will enjoy. So go enjoy it.
