Chad has a very fulfilling life. Everything in his life is progressing nicely until a visitor shows him that things are not always as they appear. Tharne comes to earth to show Chad the peril only he can stop. As Chad is prepping his computers for their next assignment, someone or something, is plotting to use his work against the human race.
Chad finds himself being drawn deeper and deeper into Tharne's quest. The priorities in his life are radically changed as he is drawn into the midst of a satanic organization that intends to change the order of the world. It will take all of Chad's skill, knowledge, and passion for justice to try and stop the events that are unfolding. Even that may not be enough. If he misses one step, or strays too far from his path, it may cost him and the rest of the world their very lives.
Alan Brooker has delivered a riveting and imaginative story in Tharne's Quest. The story is filled with ideas and imagery that would seem far-fetched were it not for Alan's combination of science and fantasy. He takes a seemingly unbelievable idea and delivers it with an array of facts and figures that create a plausible and very real antagonist. When you combine the original plot with the nuances and flow of Alan's writing, you have a very enjoyable story. This is a horror story, so be prepared for scenes that will have you white-knuckled and holding your breath. The debauchery of the satanic cult will have your skin crawling. This is truly a group, led by a conscienceless entity, which will stop at nothing to get what they want. If you enjoy a tale that has you wondering if good can triumph over such a powerful enemy, you will enjoy this story. Alan does not disappoint with his writing; he has action, sex, horror, and compassion mixed in such a manner that you can't help but stay hooked on Tharne's Quest until the end.
