Hawk's Redemption
In Kathleen Garnsey's, Hawk's Redemption, "The Hawk" is a murdering traitor who cannot remember his crimes.
"The Hawk" is sent to Sea Lab to protect Professor Winn and his research. While trying to discover who is behind the sabotage and thefts, Hawk wrestles with his attraction to researcher Kylie Beryl. Kathleen Garnsey adroitly portrays Hawk's battle for "the truth" though uncertain of his own innocence.
Kylie is dispatched to Sea Lab because of her unique bond with the Delphins, whose DNA is essential to facilitate the research before it is too late. Due to her genetics, she is forbidden to life mate, yet she intensely desires to spend her nights in Hawk's arms. Kathleen Garnsey ingeniously depicts Hawk's magnetism and Kylie's dread of being rebuffed due to her DNA.
Hawk's Redemption will depend on his choice. Will Hawk choose to trust Kylie with his true identity? Will Kylie believe the stories she has heard about "The Hawk" or have confidence in her perception of him? Their lives and the research are dependent on their choices.
Kathleen Garnsey's clever saga of passion, deception, loyalty, and hope mesmerizes the reader until the shocking climax. I could not get enough of Kylie and Hawk. I hope the author continues their story in multiple future books.
