The Gypsy Lovers
This is the story of six gypsies who wonder from town to town playing their music and helping others. Their names are Viktor, Pyotr, Gyorgy, Lukasz, Matyas and Fabyan, the silent one. They have taken London by storm with their music. They're a wild bunch, but with good hearts. They fight for justice and help those in need when and where ever they can.
While playing at the estate of one Lord Alfred Eventyde, Viktor Istvan Karoly, a minstrel, will discover his heart. Viktor was tired of all the noise so he decided to take a walk in the garden. There he finds the woman of his dreams. But something isn't right here. Why does Lord Alfred keep his own daughter hidden?
Madelyne Eventyde had heard the music and was captivated by it. The music sang to her heart and soul. She wasn't suppose to be anywhere near the main house. Madelyne had shamed her father, or so he claimed. But when she heard the music she couldn't resist the pull it had on her. She went into the gardens to hear the music better. There she meets Viktor and falls fast and hard for the handsome gypsy.
Viktor plays his music for her and Madelyne dances to it as if she were part of the music. This is the woman for Viktor. He could tell that Madelyne felt the music the same way he did. Viktor seduces Madelyne with his song and makes passionate love to her.
After Madelyne left, Viktor follows her to find out where she lives. He gets there just in time to save Madelyne from being raped by the man her father plans to marry her off to. They run away together and start on a journey that will change their lives forever.
But what becomes of the other five merry men in the group? Why can't Fabyan talk? What deep dark secrets do these men carry in their souls? Will they too find their heart's desire?
This is the story of men who fight the injustice of the poor. They made me think of the Three Musketeers times two. I found this book to be full of action with a romance story packed full of passion. In these pages you will read the story of 6 men and the 5 women they fight for and love. The heroes and heroines in this story captured my imagination as I read each couples struggle to gain that which we all long for, true love.
There are also some very humorous aspects to the story. I think you will fall in love with each and every one of the Gypsy Lovers.
