After her childhood, Rani never thought she'd feel anything for a man much less want and desire; and Rani very much wants Devin. As her dreams fall apart around her Devin is there, loving her and protecting her. Rani's past unexpectedly shows up at her door. Rani is terrified that once her secrets come out, her family and Devin won't want her anymore. Little does Rani realize, her childhood secrets are the least of their problems.
Serendipitous Rose is a powerful and intense tale. The second book in the Dark room series, Sue Thornton writes so many twists and turns in this story that each revelation will leave readers floored. There are as many intricate subplots as there are secondary characters, but this book is all the richer for it. What begins as a girl's childhood dreams turns into serial killings of enormous proportions, spanning several decades.
Although this book is part of a series, it stands alone very well. There is enough background given that readers will understand the importance of the plot. Not only has Sue Thornton written a gripping suspense novel, she's also included some momentous relationships. There isn't just the love and passion between a man and a woman, there is the unconditional love between a parent and a child, the unwavering bond of sisters and the trust and support of friendship. All in all Serendipitous Rose is an absolute must read! 5 Angels!!!
