Daughter of Darkness

Gwyneth Stevens works for a branch of the government in charge of solving paranormal crimes. While investigating a series of hellhound killings, Gwen visits Mr. Pallo, the vampire who owns Necro's Magik World & Supernatural Theme Park. Oddly, Pallo seems to recognize Gwen, and she mysteriously, knows things about Pallo that she shouldn't know. What is their connection? What does Pallo have to do with the hellhound murders? Why is Gwen suddenly a target of evil magik? By the end of the novel, Gwen knows who she is and her connection to the supernatural world.

There is a lot of action squeezed into this 170 page novel. The protagonists fight as best they can against an amorphous and ever-changing evil, not always succeeding. When they think they've beaten it, the evil comes back in another form. This is definitely an erotic novel, with some very violent scenes. There are several graphic sex scenes, one of which is a ménage à trois. While interesting, I felt the novel was almost too complex, requiring a lot of work on the reader's part to follow and understand the plot. This is the sort of novel you save for a rainy day when you have several hours at a time to devote to it.
