The Rb'qarmshi are in danger of extinction. All of their females have been rendered infertile by an act of chemical sabotage. However, an undamaged population of Rb'qarmshi, descended from a disaffected group that had been exiled in the distant past, has been found, and the Rb'qarmshi Prince Glendevtorvas has hopes that he will find a fertile female among them who he can make his queen.
Princess Glennora, heiress to the throne of the exiled Rb'qarmshi group, was stranded on Earth as a small child, and has grown up within a loving Terran foster family. Having internalized Terran standards of beauty, Glennora believes she is ugly and abnormal. She only recently found out that she was not Terran (which explains her 7 foot height, large frame, and glowing golden eyes). She was especially grateful to find out that the insatiable sexual desire she feels at intervals is only the expression of her pava, or heat cycle. Now, if she could only find a Rb'qarmshi of suitable age and station to make her mate.
When Glendevtorvas and Glennora meet, the sparks fly! Will they make a match?
I like this novel. It doesn't pretend to be lofty literature. The publisher rates it E-rotic, and that is an accurate description. It's a simple story--two people meet, have sex, more sex, fall in love, make love, more love ... you get the idea fairly fast that the hero and heroine really like each other. The many sexual encounters are extremely hot, even if they are a little out of this world! Note for squeamish readers: The story contains scenes of masturbation, and very consensual rough alien sex. I recommend it highly.
